Privacy

What we store. How we use it.

Studio keeps drafts in your browser and sends projects to our server when you download HTML. Study stores account and learning data and sends relevant content to our model provider. This page explains those differences and the controls available to you.

Studio drafts, sharing, and exports

  • Studio drafts are saved in local storage in your browser. Download a project file to back them up or move devices. Clearing browser storage can remove local drafts. Studio does not require a Study account.
  • Share links encode your explanation and settings in the URL fragment. Anyone with the complete link can read, copy, and remix that snapshot. Shared links are independent copies; changing or deleting your local draft does not revoke them. Avoid including private information in a shared artifact.
  • HTML downloads are free and retain LiminalML attribution. Your project is sent to our server to build the file; no payment or checkout reference is needed. We do not save Studio project content to the Study database.
  • New Studio purchases are disabled. Existing purchasers can still request an unbranded export: their project and legacy checkout reference are sent to our server, which checks the project-bound purchase with Stripe. Keep legacy export keys private because they contain a project backup and the reference used to claim that access.

Study data we store

  • Account email and authentication records in Supabase, plus sign-in state in browser cookies.
  • Resume PDFs you upload, extracted resume text, generated STAR stories, and other profile context you choose to save.
  • Saved session topics, messages, and stage progress; assessment scores, answer excerpts, detected misconceptions, and practice test results used for your review history.
  • Usage counts that enforce plan allowances, and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers for Study billing.

How your content is used

  • Study sends the relevant messages, profile context, answers, and submitted code to Anthropic to generate explanations, STAR stories, and feedback. Resume uploads are optional. Studio’s current creation formats do not need model API calls.
  • We do not train models on your content or sell it to advertisers. Anthropic states that it does not use commercial API inputs or outputs for model training by default; its own processing and retention policies apply.
  • Private Study records use access controls scoped to your user ID. These controls are intended to restrict access to your account; they are not a guarantee against every security risk. Studio snapshots you share are readable by anyone with the complete link.

Browser storage and analytics

  • Cookies maintain sign-in state and the guest session allowance. A short-lived return-path cookie remembers where you wanted to go while signing in. Browser storage also keeps settings, Studio drafts, and any learning activity shown as saved locally on this device. This tab’s session storage keeps a bounded copy of your last completed guest Study session for recovery, with a seven-day expiry.
  • PostHog receives page visits, explicitly recorded product interactions, failure categories, and performance measurements. When you sign in, analytics activity is associated with your account ID. Vercel Web Analytics also measures website visits.
  • Automatic click/text capture and session replay are disabled. Analytics URL queries keep only approved navigation and campaign fields; URL fragments, sign-in codes, draft references and checkout receipts are removed. First-touch campaign labels are kept for attribution. Custom topic text, search text, email addresses and raw error messages are excluded from our product events. Account-linked usage is not anonymous.

Who processes your data

  • Supabase — authentication, database records, and resume file storage.
  • Anthropic — model requests for Study explanations, resume analysis, retrieval evaluation, and code feedback.
  • Stripe — Study subscription payments and verification of legacy Studio purchases. Payment card details are entered through Stripe Checkout, not our application servers.
  • Vercel — application hosting, request handling, and website analytics.
  • PostHog — product analytics, account-linked usage events, error reporting, and performance monitoring.

Your controls

  • You can edit profile text and STAR stories and delete individual sessions in the app. Removing extracted resume text does not by itself delete a previously uploaded PDF.
  • Email liminalmlprep@gmail.com to request an account data export or deletion, including uploaded files and associated analytics records. We respond to deletion requests within seven days.
  • Local browser data can be removed through your browser’s site-data controls. Back up any Studio projects first. We cannot delete copies of artifacts or share links that other people have already received.
